Pre-Arrival Information

We look forward to welcoming you to the 2023 FSRACA National Conference on 9 to 11 August in Melbourne, Australia.

So you can make the most of your conference experience, see below for some pre-arrival information

VENUE

The FSRACA 2023 conference will be held at CENTREPIECE on Olympic Blvd, Melbourne VIC 3000

HOW TO GET TO CENTREPIECE

CENTREPIECE is located centrally in the iconic Melbourne & Olympic Parks precinct and is easily accessible by car, tram, train or a short walk from the CBD and surrounds.

Train: The following train stations are within walking distance to CENTREPIECE:

  • 7 minutes from Jolimont Station
  • 10 minutes from Flinders Street Stations
  • 10 minutes from Richmond Station

Tram: The following tram routes are within walking distance to CENTREPIECE

  • Route 70, stop 7B Rod Laver Arena
  • Route 75, stop 11 Jolimont Station
  • Route 48, stop 11 Jolimont station

Taxi and Rideshare: The Rod Laver Arena Taxi Rank is located next to The Oval on Olympic Boulevard, just 200m from CENTREPIECE. The CENTREPIECE car park also has a dedicated drop-off area for cars, coaches and rideshares.

Car: Ample parking is available at CENTREPIECE’s dedicated secure car parks via Entrance A (batman Avenue) and Entrance D (Olympic Boulevard). All days across the conference are considered “non-event days” so pre-booking is not necessary and parking in the Eastern Car Park will cost $7.50 per day.

If parking is sold out or unavailable, a number of private and public street car parks operate in close proximity to CENTREPIECE. Please visit the CENTREPIECE website for more details.

REGISTRATION AND INFORMATION DESK

The Registration Desk will be located on the ground level of CENTREPIECE in the Main Lobby and will be open during the following times:

Wednesday 9th August: 10:00 AM – 5:00 PM
Thursday 10th August: 7:00 AM – 4:30 PM
Friday 11th August: 7:30 AM – 4:30 PM

On arrival, you will be able to print your name badge during the times listed above, using your QR code emailed to you. Friendly staff will be on hand during the opening hours, to answer your questions and provide information about the Conference, venue and surrounds. You are required to wear your name badge every day you are attending to access the sessions and exhibition.

Please note that some activities have limited capacity and tickets cannot be guaranteed for any late bookings.

Welcome Reception
Time: 4:30pm – 6:30pm
Venue: Grand Hall 1&2, CENTREPIECE, Melbourne Park
Cost: Included with any full conference registration
$110 for all other registrations or for additional tickets

Thursday 10 August

 Gala Dinner
Time: 6:30 PM – 10:30 PM
Venue: Olympic Room | MCG
Cost:  Full conference registration: $35
All other registration types / guest tickets: $170
Dress code: Smart casual to cocktail. There will a sporting theme to the night so for those up to it, dress in theme for your chance to win a spot prize!
Your ticket is shown by the Dinner Plate symbol on your badge.

GETTING TO THE GALA DINNER

The Olympic Room at the MCG is located on Level 2 at the Olympic Stand, the closest gate is Gate 3

Parking: Parking is available nearby to the MCG at the following locations:

  • Federation Square: Corner of Flinders & Swanston St
  • City Square: 202-208 Flinders Lane
  • Melbourne & Olympic Parks – Entrance D off Olympic Boulevard
  • Metered Parking – Available on Jolimont St, Jolimont Terrace, Clarendon St

Ride share / Taxi: Ask to be dropped at the corner of Jolimont Street and Jolimont Terrace

Tram:

  • Wellington Parade: Exit station, walk through the park towards the MCG
  • Olympic Park – Disembark at Rod Laver, walk up the ramp to footbridge to the MCG.

Train:

  • Richmond Station: Exit station, cross Punt Rd, walk towards the MCG via Brunton Ave
  • Jolimont Station: Exit station, walk 120 meters through Yarra Park to the MCG

Time: 1:30 PM – 4:30 PM
Room: Auditorium | Centrepiece

HOSTED SESSIONS

A number of Industry Hosted Sessions will be held across the two days. Check out the sponsors and their hosted session information here. RVSP’s are essential and managed directly with the organisation.

 

WI-FI INTERNET

To access CENTREPIECE wireless internet there will be a number of QR codes located around the venue for you to scan with your wireless enabled device to connect easily with no password required.

Q&A

During the sessions, Q&A will be taken via a microphone set up in the room.  

PHONE CHARGING

An EzyCharge Phone Charge Station is available at the venue and is available free of charge for delegates wishing to charge their mobile phones or tablets. 

DIETARY REQUIREMENTS

Did you tell us about your dietary requirements? If you are unable to select appropriate food from the catering buffets, please notify the catering floor staff and they will direct you to the Special Diets Buffet in the Exhibition Hall.

CERTIFICATE OF ATTENDANCE

Certificates of Attendance will be sent via email after the conclusion of the conference.

COVID SAFE INFORMATION

FSRACA are committed to providing a COVID safe environment for all delegates, speakers and exhibitors. Please play your part and help us be COVID safe by practising proper hand hygiene and adhering to physical distancing by maintaining 1.5m from others where possible. If you feel unwell, we ask that you please stay at home.

HOW DO YOU GET AROUND ON PUBLIC TRANSPORT

Myki makes getting around on public transport easy. Myki cards are smartcard tickets that you keep, reload and reuse to pay for travel on public transport. The Myki network includes train, tram and bus, services in Victoria. Purchase your myki online at www.myki.com.au, premium train stations, retail outlets displaying the myki sign Including 7-Elevens).
